Back!
So I know I said I'd be around more often, and I lied. Sorry But now things are cooling down and I should be able to get on here at least once a day now
Anyways, Since the last time I came on here I've sold my 92 Pickup, Bought an 89 Isuzu Trooper, sold the trooper, and then just last weekend I bought a 98 GMC Sierra 2500 4x4. The 98 needed A TON of work, but I've been working almost non-stop and not only is it drivable now, but it even stops with three wheels! (which should be fixed tomorrow)
When i bought the truck it had those ugly running boards and topper on it, plus 8 years of dirt. Since buying it I have:
-Taken off topper and running boards
-Cleaned exterior, underbody, and interior
-replaced a bunch of lights
-rewired trailer wiring
-replaced pass. side interior door handle
-replaced driver side exterior door handle
-replaced locks (frozen beyond repair)
-Fixed Radiator and flushed coolant
-freed up tailgate handle
-replaced tailgate straps
-replaced washer fluid bottle
-Rear brakes shoes and drums (13" Drums!)
-Front left pads and rotor (see my next rant)
-Door pins and bushings
-Hood latch
-new battery
Here's what I have left to do:
-Front right pads and rotor
-Coat frame to make look better
-window seal on driver side
-paintDoor jam
-Touch up tailgate
-wax truck
-Mount plow
-alignment
-replace taillights
-somehow get the receiver out of the hitch... its rusted in
-replace windshield
-hit a deer (prev owner hit one and the grill is broke... if i hit one ins. will cover it)
So anyways, that's the story on my truck. You may be thinking HOLY **** HE"S SPENT A TON OF MONEY ON THIS THING, but really, I paid $3500 for the truck, and I've put $750 into parts so far. I sold the topper today for $400 so I'm still under $4000 for a damn nice truck. i'll put up some more pictures periodically.
