Which is Cheaper?
Hello,
Can you guess correctly from the top of your head which mode of transportation is cheaper from Los Angeles, California to San Francisco? I will give you three choices right now:
1. Automobile
2. Greyhound bus
3. Airline
Driving the whole 381.9 miles that takes 5 hours and 45 minutes, will generally cost about $87.93 in today's current gasoline prices.
A Greyhound bus will cost you $49 one-way to travel the same distance but take 9 hours and 40 minutes.
JetBlue offers a $44 flight deal for taking you from LA to SFO, and they are the fastest at only 1hr 34min.
So, there you have the results. I would gladly use the budget airline JetBlue to book cheap flights to wherever. United Airlines came second at $74 in only 1h 28m. You have to decide if a few extra dollars are worth it to getting to your destination sooner.
