Default Chevy silverado or the colorado

Hey all.

I'm looking at getting a Chevy truck pretty soon and I'm split between the Silverado and Colorado models. I don't know a lot about trucks and was wondering what the main difference is between them. I'm I losing something if I go with the cheaper one or what should I be looking for when I decide on a model?

I'm looking for something heavy duty if that helps at all. I do some metal working (design stuff, supposed to be art) in my free time so I definitely end up hauling around a lot of stuff, so I need a truck that can withstand that. That's the whole reason I'm getting a truck. My old civic is just not cutting it these days (also falling apart, but that's a different story).

That reminds me, as long as i'm asking around, I was searching online for a dealer near San Diego and came up with http://www.chevyworktrucks.com/ as being nearby and pretty good. Can anyone confirm or deny that or should I keep looking?

Silverado... Don't question it.

Check Craigslist for local listings

So, the silverado is the way to go? Good, I went for a test drive yesterday afternoon and that's definitely how I was feeling afterward.

So, check out craigslist? Even if I want to get a new one. I thought only used cars were posted there.

I assumed that since your username was happiest kid in the world you wouldn't be interested in anything new. It's a great time to buy a truck with all the deals floatin around so I'd go for it.
