I don't know about most of you here, but I know the high gas prices are definitely putting a hole in my wallet. I've found Allstate's gas widget to be pretty great at finding cheap gas and diesel prices - Gas Price Locator - Allstate.

As far as avoiding high fuel prices? I can't get anything done without driving. So, I'm not trying to avoid them. It is what it is, and until we get rid of the enviro-whackos and the current anti-anything-but-alternative-energy regime, we're stuck with 'em.

Seriously - I'm in the same boat. I commute at least 70 miles per day and unless I want to take multiple bus routes and an additional 2 hours in the mornings/evenings, I've got no choice but to drive.

 

I drive really slow now and avoid stepping on the gas as much as possible

 

Fortunately I live only about a mile from work. I also use gas buddy on my iPhone. Around the city I get about 11 mpg and on the highway driving 70 I'm getting about 17. I really have to just slow down to get the better mpg. 2011 GMC Sierra Crew cab 4x4 with a 6.2 l gas engine

 

Me and my wife both are using one car rather that two i think it is better Idea.

 

I sure can't wait to get my pickup back. I am borrowing a Tahoe from a family member and it's danged on awful fueling up twice a week!

not a big deal, gas gets higher and i gotta make do. i went four years without a truck because i needed to save money on gas, but all i ended up being was the guy constantly borrowing everyone elses truck. doesnt matter what happens brothers, we're truck guys

 

I have had to cut our family camping trips in half this year. It is getting too expensive to pull our 5th wheel around. It is what it is though. I new that I was not going to be making any friends in the enviro groups but 8.2 mpg towing sucks. I also accelerate slower than i used to, and i don't speed any more.
