Well considering I think everyone lost track of this thread, and I've already driven and parked this car for the winter. Here's some success photos:

At that stage of the game, why did you use a 305 when there are tons of 350's out there for cheap.

That looks pretty BA. I wouldn't mind having. I'll have to get some pics up of my winter R&R truck project.

 

While I agree on the 350 part, this 305 was already rebuilt and came free with the car. Plus I wanted to be able to drive the car for a short while in stock form so I can feel the progression of power as I modify/improve on it

I have a 383 stroker in the works though. Stay tuned
