Question Whats a good older truck with good gas milage?

I'm going to need a truck, to haul stuff and for a spare vehicle incase my car doesnt start. I'd like to get one that has good gas milage and I know its hard to find one like that.

My budget is going to put me with older trucks from 1996-2005, automatic and I'll only want a Ford, Chevy/GMC or Dodge. I haven't decided on whether it will be a small one or a regular size. I dont need crewcab/extended cab. I'm thinking the smallest engine regular trucks have is a v6 and the little ones a v4. I dont think I'll need 4WD either. A full size sofa wouldn't fit in a small truck bed would it? And I'm not even sure it would fit in a regular size truck bed or shortbed.

Anyone have any suggestions?

My price range would be up to $2500. I know it might not seem possible to get a 2005 for that, but I know a person that can get beat up vehicles (massive hail damage, huge wreck) very cheap. From there I can get someone rather cheap to fix it up, engine wise, it would probably still look like hell on the outside though.

You can easily get a truck for yourself. No need to worry about it.I suggest you should go for Chevy ruck.It gives good mileage and its nice truck. Its having various price range, you will definitely get a nice truck within our price tag.
