Hi all -Im new!! I have a 82 shortbed that used to be a diesel- I bought a set of rims off of an 83 and they wont fit on the front!! They are scrubbing the caliper- I know deisels had bigger calipers than other gas models- Question is- What can I do besides changing the spindle to make them fit? thanks all!!

 

I think I would sell the rims and buy some that fit before I started altering the brakes. Just my opinion.

 

Just bought these yesterday form a customer of mine- I have figured out the problem- I have a JD 5 brake system and his was Light duty. They will go on but there isnt enough clearance between the caliper and the wheel- How hard is it to change back to a light duty system? I cant even google it and find anything
