Default PMD replacement issues

!997 C/K 2500 w/ 6.5 Turbo Diesel

Have purchased Stanadyne PMD replacement kit plus remote heat sink.
Currently unable to locate solenoid for one of the connectors and am hoping it's not under the air intake plenum.

Any suggestions?

Default PMD replacement advice

I just wanted to thank Cam for the excellent advice. When the local dealerships' service manager advised that the fix would cost me $3500. and my fixed income would not have accomodated that figure, the advice I received saved me $2900.

With the able assistance of my electronics technician/neighbor we mangaed to leave the old PMD in place and rewire it's replacement to a FSD cooler unit mounted on the intake plenum.

Thanks again for the valuable assistance rendered by the forum and, specifically Cam.
