Default Just bought a 1996 Tacoma 4x4 4cl 5 speed, got a few questions...

Whats up everyone, My name is adam and I just bought a 96 tacoma. It is no show truck by any means and it has 260,000 miles. I just got it for a winter driver and paid nothing for it. I was wondering how do these trucks do in the snow? What about gas mileage in the 4cl? Hows the 4x4 overall? Thanks

i have the same exact truck. the 4WD, AWESOME! i have never owned a truck that gets around better in the snow, mud, banana peel, you name it. i have a 2 1/2" leveling kit and 31" tires. (takes away A LOT of power.) but in town, expect to get 17-20 and on highway roughly about 20-24. the only problem i have ever had with mine was a head gasket, and the MAF sensor hope this helps!
