1990 sr5 4x4 starting problems

Default 1990 sr5 4x4 starting problems

my 1990 toyota pickup sr5 with the 3.0 6 cyl wont start now. I drove it to school one morning went to leave and it just kept cranking fuels there plenty of power no spark..tired replacing the ignition coil..still wouldnt go could it be my ignitor need help please can't get to school and need 2 save money 4 the right part

If you placed the ignition coil then check if the ignition coil is fit for your car and it's replaced properly... check if it's tighten up and it fits just right.

Yes, toyota's are notorious for the contacts inside the starter corroding (sp?). You can buy the contacts from toyota for about $20, takes about 5 mins to change them out once the starter is removed. I'm sure if you search, you'll find threads with step by step on changing them. You could also just buy a new starter, but thats about $130 more expensive.
