Hey i have a 87 toyota pickup (4cyl) i want more power! what can i do to get more? I also want to know what kind of BIGGER engine can fit under my hood? V6? help me out thanks

 

i have a 88 and a 90 toyota pickup i put an accel coil on my 90 it helped it quite a bit for the money, as far as motors go i actually saw a 350 chevy in a 87 toy, it did'nt take up as much room as the 4 cylider did.

 

you dont want to put a v6 in it because the 3.0 liter 6 cylinders are pyles. if you put a 350 into it, then it wont be street legal so i would try exaust, intake, and doing a holley 350 carb swap. this should give you more power but it a 4 cylinder, they last for a long time and they are really good off road. you dont have to haul *** everywhere. its a toss up between going fast and longevity/economy, also if you have bigger tires you could re gear to the right ratio for your tires. that would make a big differance.
