My brother was driving my truck on the way back from a day hike near Aspen, CO (2010). I was too tired to drive. He hit a deer not too far from home.
Insurance wanted to total it, but the body shop was able to negotiate and get the cost down to just under the amount they deemed not repairable.
Got the truck back about 6 weeks later, and also negotiated a Ranch Hand for more protection.
