I was just curious as to why my '02 Av (was my wifes) has 265 x 70R x 17 tires on it. I looked on the inside of the dr. side door jamb and it calls for 265 x 70R x 16's. Are the 17's maybe an option or did someone put 17's on it before my wife bought it? The truck goes fine with the 17's and speedometer seems to be ok and also my wife and i work parttime @ walmart and usually in the TLE dept (Tire/Lube express), they will not put any tires on a vehicle thats not the right size, which is stated on the door jamb. Even in the owners manual, i did not see where 17's were even an option for that year. Just got my wondering.
