i have a 2001 s10 and the whole 4 cylinder engine just isnt cutting it for me. i was looking into putting a 327 small block in it until i saw some of the prices for the whole project and i just dont have the money for it. what other things could i do to the engine to add some more horsepower to it that wont cost as much?

 

You can get a 5.3 for dirt cheap I mean a few hundred if you look around.

 

you can purchase flowmaster exhast k&n cold air intake will add about 40-45 horse power
