Hi guys,i bought a 1988 gmc s15 4x4,it had a 4.3 in it but was changed to a 305 h.o,bought it cheap needed body work but theres an engine problem i cannot figure out,when i picked it up to start it the guy had the hose from the washer bottle to the throttle body and had gas in it,give it a shot and it starts,sometimes stays running sometimes not,but it does not shoot gas by itself im not sure where to start with this im not good at mechanics but am trying to make this into a nice truck project....any ideas???

 

Are you running an electric pump or manual?

 

the pump is still the original,the wiring harness and computer were changed for the 305

 

also im told the engine is a 1993 305 h.o what truck would that have came out of i may need a whole new harness since the guys who helped me change the cab cut a few wires
