Default s-10 cat backs

Hi I have a 2002 s-10 with a 2.2 and a five speed. I have a jet stage 1 chip and a cheap ebay cold air intake on it. Whould a cat back help my mileage and power? Has anyone ever used Gibson? Thanks.

I had a 94 and a cat back system will help - hell I ran a header on mine as well but i also was running it pretty hard and drag racing it at the time - essencially your gas mileage gains will be minimal figure 2-3% at best with easy cruising BUT because most people jump on their throttle more often when they start modding their vehicles the mileage gains really are not all thay great

So what is a Jet Stage 1? And are you in Cali? I took the cat-converter off and cleaned it out a few thousand miles ago, this improved gas mileage and freed up some power on the 2.2 along with a cheap cold air intake, it will redline at 6 grand with an auto trans..Add some Lucas to your tans and motor to improve shift.
