thats not a bad idea. and in order to stroke it they or i would have to put the motor back together with new gaskets/seals which inturn adds to the life of the motor, or am i wrong? whats the difference between the 5.7 and the 5.3 blocks? is it just the cylinder sizes or the whole thing overall? would boring it be a bad idea? i dont want to go much over stock, maybe 10 or 20 over. also would the intake manifold be a bad idea? i understand that the stock one is made of plastic.

and now it makes perfect sense. well i found a shop thats close to me, do any of you know anything about Carolina Auto Masters in Durham, NC? its a GM shop mostly vettes, comaros, and T/A's but they'll mess with trucks, and other makes too. just wondering if they have good backing on their work.
