Default 05 Siverado V6 manual! where is the coolant drain?

I cannot believe I am doing this!

I have from new a 05 Silverado V6 plain jane manual trans truck and now that it is due for flushing and new coolant I am looking for the danged drain tap on the bottom of the plastic radiator.

I even have the Haynes book on this model which claims the drain is on the bottom left hand side. But search and search I can find no drain plug at all on the radiator.

So where or what is it that I need to open to let the old coolant drain out?

Utterly frustrated !

Bottom of radiator, drivers side. Looks like a wing nut.

If all else fails pull the lower hose loose. To me it is the best way to do it anyhow to let all the nasty stuff fush out at a hig rate of speed. No restiction...

Thank you all for the replies, it appears that I must remove the bottom hose! If I can I will post photos of this radiator bottom so that others may see the thing. BTW It looks as if there is provision for a tap but there is no tap! Again thank you :0)
