I just upgraded my stock radio with a factory navigation system on my 08 Sierra. I have a few issues, first I didn't have to unlock it and from what I read on the net that "theftlock" would appear on the screen when installed.

My problems is that I have no voice prompts when following the navigation system. A voice tells me to go to the highlighted road and the navigation will begin and that's it. No voice telling me the turns.

Also, all the chimes for open door, keys in the igniton etc. are barely audible. You can hear them but extremely faint.

I don't believe my low fuel indicator works anymore either and the volume on the radio is no where near as loud as my stock radio.

Is this something Tech-2 programming will resolve or am I missing some wiring. The kit came with the radio head, dvd, satellite antenna, and a small diameter harness with 3 wires in it. their colors are gray, purple and a non insulated wire. There were no instructions with the kit so I have no idea where the wires go.


Any help with my issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
