Default 100 MPH

MY 02 ONLY GETS TO 100MPH! Is there a governor on it?can it be bypassed without messing up anything

Get a programmer and that will bypass the gov and the rev limiter if you want. BTW you should be carfull at that speed, as ARGON would say, the brakes are only rated for the governed speed. Good luck.

But then again in the mid to late 60s and early 70s. A LOT of cars would go a hell of alot faster than their brakes could handle. 0-60 in three seconds, 60-0 in three minutes, lol.

U might also want to check the speed rating on ur tires as well.

It will move that governor back pretty far so check the tires for sure.

Mine tops out at 125mph with about a 1/4 pedal left and even at that speed it runs smooth with M/T 33's on it

In my truck 125 feels more like 90 on Goodyear tires.

Also betweem 130-140 don't expect your door seals to do much good at all, almost sounds like the windows are down!
