I have a 1986 GMC sierra 4x4 that i decided to turn into a mud riding vehicle. It has a 5.0L 305. I am curious how much more power i will get going to a rebuilt chevy 350, and wut kind of lockers can i get for front and beack that are good but also cheap. One example not being detroit lockers because i was told just 700 for he back. But i can do the labor for putting it in. Would appreciate any good ideas that i can do to this truck. The 350 is nice because its easier to upgrade later and there is more aftermarket support for them. As for the lockers go to ebay, cuz they are expensive anywhere you go. If cheap is really what you want and dont mind a little extra tire wear go with a spool or even weld the rear end.
