It is running better. Yesterday morning went out and fired the truck up, no starting fluid, let her run for 30-40 minutes, shut it off and fired it back up, I did have to hold the accelerator to the floor, but it did start.I checked the voltage to coolant temp sensor, was around 4-5 volts, any idea if thats correct? I ohmed the old one at about 50 degrees outside temp, it was in the area of 4 to 4.3 K ohms, held it under the sink faucet and could see the resistance go up and down with changing water temps, so I think the problem is in the wiring, just a guess at this point.
I need to replace the EEPROM in the PCM, any recommendations on where to purchase one?
thank you
jerry

Update, forgot I had posted here
Been working on the truck, have a borrowed scanner and was able to get the truck to run long enough for a scan.
The truck will start but has rough idle and would not take throttle.
I have cleaned the IAC, no change in idle quality, ohms check good
Cleaned TB injectors, this made a world of difference in idle, but on reassembly, must have nicked an o-ring, it's weeping , so I'll rebuild again, I think the rusty muffler had enough, and now I have to replace it, I'm sure it will wake the neighborhood up, it so loud
Thnaks for all the suggestions
Jerry

Just to close out this thread and mark it SOLVED.
I was running winaldl, and noticed that the MAP sensor was not changing, unplugged the offending unit, and it started idling and had good throttle response, replaced the MAP sensor, took it out for a trial run, no problems, no codes.
I do appreciate the time and effort of all those who offered suggestions and ideas to look at, thank you.
Thanks to all, now onto bigger and better things.
Jerry

Good deal Jerry. The Map sensor is sometimes overlooked.
