The holy grail of mirrors. Sheesh! I cannot find one of these anywhere! I had an "incident" between my driver side mirror and garage entry. I need the motor only as it has the nipple that connects to the back of the mirror...that's all that broke. Anyone have an idea where this can be purchased? Is my only option buying the ENTIRE assembly at ~$300?

Can't help there but I'm paranoid about me or some moron (like me!) knocking off those big retractable mirrors on my '05 2500HD.

I found a new mirror assembly on ebay for $68. A _little_ less than the $300 the dealer quoted. It doesn't have the turn signal in the mirror like my damaged one does, but is heated and powered. The mirror survived the mishap on my damaged one. I plan to remove the mirror from the new assembly and place my mirror in it...we'll see how that goes.
