I was driving my truck home, which is a 1993 chevy 1 ton 4x4 with the 4L80E in it. 350 Engine, when the rear brake locked up on me. We trailered it home and I frred up the brake. The transmission will engage but the truck is not moving. Removed rear drive shaft and it still did nothing. This is the 2nd transmission I have put in this truck in less the 3 months. Did not know if anyone could give me some pointers on how to check to see if the transfer case is possibly shot. Or if anyone else has had this problem. Little info on truck-It stopped shifting and went into the limp-home mode befors it locked up. Have heard these transmissions have had a lot of problems. Does anyone know if there is a way I could swap to a different tranny. If so what do I need. Thanks.
