Default 1998 Chevy 350 hitching/bucking issue

I've tried everything I can think of with no results. 350 Vortex with automatic overdrive 4wd. Once I get 1000-1800 rpms and on level ground and converter kicks in I may go 1-2 miles and then its like the motor shuts off for a second, feel it through the drive train. It may do this 2-8 times in 10-15 miles. Never does it under acceleration or under tow. Changed cap, wires, filters, plugs, cleaned mass air flow, changed distributor, had 4 garages put their equipment on it, shows nothing, motor runs perfect idling and under acceleration. No one has any ideas, transmission guy said it wasn't converter. Checked all wiring harnesses, no problems. I am not a mechanic, but it seems like the trans is hitching because the motor runs so good at idle and when you step on it. Only going on flat ground about 40-70 miles per hour at same speed not accelerating or decelerating is when it will do it. Sometimes you lightly feel it other times it seems to shake the whole drivetrain. any ideas.
Don't want to keep throwing money into it, can't afford it.
Thanks for any help.

Lets see. Try going for a run and cruise it at the speed you feel it most. When it does it, keep your foot on the gas, and with your other foot, tap the brakes about 1/4 of it but not enough to make the truck slow down. Just tap it and see what happens or if it goes away. When you are doing that, that unlocks the Torque Converter. So what it sounds like is the TC is trying to lock up but doesn't all the way. This is caused by a few things. Bad TCC(torque converter clutch) being the worst, a bad TCC Solenoid(cheap and easy fix), or bad TCC Valve(easy fix).

Thanks for the advice, I will try it and see what happens. When it does it, it only does it for a split second, then not again for maybe 1-4 miles depending on the terrain, hilly or flat. You can see the rpms drop when the converter kicks in, but when the problem happens the rpm meter never drops a bit.
Thanks again
