Greetings! I have taken off the factory tubular running boards (part # 12499586)that were onmy 2005 extended cab Silverado because I don't need them. The previous owner had them installed. Are the six (three each side) long bolts supposed to go back into the holes in thecab mounts?Since I wasn't the one who installed them, I can't tell whether these boltswere on the truck originally or came with the running boards. I want to keep the running boards complete, because I've sold them. However, I also would like to avoid having the cab of my truck fall off! Thanks in advance for the information.
