2 problems with a 2003 Sierra 4x4
Hi, first time on this site. I have a 2003 Sierra 4x4 with 2 separate problems. I believe I may have found an answer to my first question on this site but I wanted to make sure. When I make turns at a low speed I hear a rubbing sound. Not sure if this is the same problem everyone else keeps reporting on steering problems with their Sierra's?
Second question when I start my truck after it has sat for 2 or 3 hours it is hard to start. I do have a remote start unit on the truck not sure if that could be the cause of it being hard to start?

hard to start...does it spin?...just takes a bit to actually run?...or is it spinning over slow?
the steering clunk....with the wheel slightly turned, going slow over some bumps..it will be felt more than heard...bump-clunk type feeling

When I crank it over it will spin until it starts or if I let off the key and crank it again it will almost always start immediately.
As far as the steering problem I will try what you are saying and see what I experience.

on the starting...look on the left side of the engine...a small metal pot with a vacuum line...its the fuel regulator...pull that line off and see if its gassy....the reg could be dripping gas into the vacuum and flooding....you may have to check it a few days in a row
