I have a 2000 Olds Bravada with transmission problems. About a year or so ago I replaced the valve body because at the time I also had shifting problems. Now the truck has no gears. It started by not shifting into 4th or OD. Managed to get it home in 3rd. I let it cool down then took it for a drive only to get a 1/4 mile from home when it had no gears at all. Forward or reverse. Towed it home. I then started it just t see if I could get it into a better position in the driveway, briefly it had forward and reverse gears. Only enough to move it 10 feet. Then no gears again. I checked the fluid level, it was fine. The fluid did not have a burnt smell.
In this economy (and mine) I can hardly afford to take it to a tranny shop.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
