2001 Silverado fuel injectors
Hey,
I'm new here but not to truck forums.
I am curious if anybody has had to replace fuel injectors on Chevy trucks with the 5.3L V8.
My truck has 190,000 miles on it and it doesn't seem to run very well.
We just replaced the alternator and battery, they went out.
I will have to see whether the thing gets better fuel economy after this fix.
Do they have a certain life expectancy?
If anybody has any experience with this kind of thing, please let me know.

RE: 2001 Silverado fuel injectors
I am not 100% on this but I believe the injectors are the same, if not very similar flow rates between the two motors. I am pretty sure they are the same tho.
Does it seem sluggish?
Try:
1. Replacing the fuel filter
2. Running Sea Foam through a tank of gas
3. Replacing the plugs if needed
4. Cleaning the MAF and Throttle Body
5. Replacing the PCV
6. Replacing the EGR if the truck still has the original (and problem persists)
7. Replace sprak plug wires
