I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 and my brake lights are not working when I hit the brakes. The running lights are on when lights are on but when I hit the brakes there’s nothing. That’s including the center lamp above the back window. All other lights and turn signals work correctly. I have changed the brake light switch on the pedal and still
nothinh. Bulbs are good too. I used a test light to check a few things in fuse panel and here’s what I don’t understand is that on fuse 14 I get nothing even when pedal is pressed though I read I was supposed to always have power there but on 17 I have power on both sides whether brake is pressed or not. Can anyone please point me in the right direction? I’m at a loss and just bought the truck two days ago and don’t know what to do now. Thank you
