2001 Tranny Problems

I have a 01 1500 4x4 auto with a 5.3. I was told the tranny is a 4L60E? will a tranny out of a 2 wheel drive fit? Or any other vehicle?

Output shaft and housing are different. You would have to disassemble, put in the correct shaft and housing, reassemble. I would just find a 4wd trans.

im gonna have to agree with yank on this one...it would end up beign ay cheaper and less of a pain in the *** in the long run
