2002 chev silverado

Question 2002 chev silverado

Have a problem with fan speed control have no fan on 1 2 3 but works on 4 5 can anybody tell me how to fix it

It sound like the switch may be worn out in the most commonly used positions. Possible corrosion on the connector plug or switch . Take switch out and do a continuity check on all posistions. Good luck.

same problem with my 2002 silverado 1500
air will come out but not really blow out as it should on 1,2,3
my truck only has 48k miles

Theres diodes that go bad

im not sure where but i will be able to get that info in about 5 minutes

its a 5 minute job and its easy too it happens on alot of chevys

Its called a Blower Resistor

I had to buy a part that was located near the inside filter kit at the passenger floor board. I changed that and now mine works on all settings. Part came from auto zone an was about a 20 minute fix

If you have air, but not as much as you should you need to replace your cabin filter. Very common on the 99-02's.

i just replaced mine like 3 minutes ago

i have pictures of what they look like on my other thread....nasty
