Default 2002 Silverado Brakes

I have had issues with the breaks on my 02 Silverado for as many years as I have had it (twas new). I Took it to a shop last summerand they replaced pads and master cylinder. I got done over!! Still have the same issue. I have "squishy" breaks about 90% of the time. One mechanic said something about the "sliders". However, I am not sure how to rectify this. Does anyone know the breaking system and have some (at home) suggestions that I can try to get "firm" breaks? Adjustment, bleed, anything?

I have the same thing on my 2000, so I replaced the master cylinder and bleed everything. It might of helped a little but it is still there and very noticable. I was thinking about replacing the booster or the wheel cylinders. It really sucks not having that good of brakes. Let us know what you find out!
