I own a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 V6 5 speed. I am having some issues with my speedometer remaining accurate. It varies anywhere from being 20 km/hr out to a full 180 km/hr. Currently when I am going about 60 km/hr it states that I am going over 200 km/hr. Any suggestions as to what i can do to fix this?

it is a bad cluster. guarentee it. take it to the dealership and have them check it. a new cluster is about $350, i think. same thing happened to my 04 duramax. sitting still it said i was at 20-25 MPH. going 45 i was at 65. it only does it randomly too. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

 

 

Mine does the same thing I bought a Garmin GPS it tells you your speed problem solved.
