Default 2004 sierra rear suspension

Whats the best way to increase the load capacity of the rear of my 2004 k1500 sierra without lifting the rear?

I would install a kit like roadmaster active suspension. I put one on my truck and it helped alot.

Air bags are awsome, overload springs, or get those coil over shocks.

Load levelers, air shocks, Add-a-leaf as the cheapest mods for increasing load capacity.

Monroe sensatrac shocks with the helper springs will cost you less than $75 is you do it your self. Also watch your tires, you will probably want to go with a load E range tire to avoid blowouts.

all good suggestions... however if you get pulled over and the check the weight even though you have air bags or add a leaf.... you will be fined and or towed. the likely hood of actually being caught is pretty low as i run just over full load with my camper and quads.... and i have never even had a second glance from cops... some places differ quite a bit from others tho!

go for the air bags.. they are easy to do and are cost effective.. add a leafs are too much work and occasionally have to be replaced. get the bags.. without a compressor.. run the lines to the back of the truck and keep the tightly tucked away somewhere where rocks and stuff arent going to hit them... as well as an asthetically pleasing location..

when you know your going to have a load on fill em up with a few pounds..... or just play with it alot and give your truck an instat 6 inch lift!! LOL

well worth it in my opinion. i have installed a few of these they are easy to do! not to mention that if your not looking for them they cant be seen! lol

good luck!
