I'm guessing that it could be a rubber exhaust hanger. That keeps the exhaust held with the rubber insulator to the welded on metal exhaust hangers.
If it's not that, get a picture of it. If not, don't buy it. It's a scam. Same as a metric screw driver ... or blinker fluid ... by the way, your window regulator motor is bad. And your mirror heater is defective ........... I wouldn't pay for that.

If it's a scam, that sucks for the dealer because this is totally, 100% $zero out of my pocket repairs. I know, hard to come by, but it's all there in black and white and I had the fine print checked over by people who know things.

Good. At least it isn't coming from your pocket, because something's fishy about an exhaust vibration dampener ... perhaps an exhaust resonator or something.
Maybe I'm misinformed about something. Perhaps I've just never heard of an exhaust vibration dampener, but that sounds like someone's trying to make money.

Well...the truck is finally back after sitting at the shop for a week. It turns out that it was exhaust moan that transfers through the drivetrain, floorboard, and accelerator. GM put out a notice about it on all (?) trucks in that body style. So they cut out a section of pipe and replace it with a flex pipe that "eliminates" the noise. So far, so good.
