Default 2009 1500 Side Steps Squeak

Greeting everyone. I need some help with an issue. I recently installed Westin Side Steps on my 2009 Extended Cab Silverado. Each side has three brackets that mount to the carriage bolts that hold the cab to the frame. Since putting them on I have a creaking noise when weight shifts (acceleration, stopping and turns). I have rechecked my work and everything was installed fine. It bugs the *&^% out of me. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Brad

Try to tighten up the bolts some. If they are not tight enough it will allow play in the rubber bushings and that is where you will get a squeak, when things are moving.

you may need to lubricate the bushings to stop the squeak like the polyurethane bushings on some car chassiss. Just a suggestion if bolt tightening doesn't work.
