Default 2009 Chevy Help

I just put a Borla Muffler on my 09 chevy and while it was up on the rack, there is a new cat after the x pipe and the muffler shop said they couldnt do anything about it. This is new for 09 and i was wondering if i risk messing a sensor up or failing inspection if i cut this cat off, but leave the others. Thanks,

I didn't know about that. My 08 had 2 cats right after the manifolds before the exhaust went into 1 pipe. I really doubt you would fail an inspection if it was off. I used to have an 02 kia optima and I cut the cat off then moved to california, got it smoged and it passed with flying colors. I personally think it is a worthless part on a newer vehical. You might get a check engine light on if you took it off but like I said earlier I didn't know that they did that to the 09 models.
