285/75/16 on stock wheels?
There is a little power loss, not too noticable during normalthough. On dry pavement I can't do a power stand anymore. That's due to the widerwidth and larger diameter. My gas mileage went down, but it's hard to say how much. I didn't correct the computer for the larger diameter tires, so it changed my speedo and odometer. However, with stock tires my speedo always read a little higher than the speed on my GPS. Now my speedo is dead on with my GPS. I have never paid attention to see if the miles match or not.
You have a 265 tire on you truck now? What's the aspect ratio? Is it a 265/65R17? If so, thats about 10.4in wide by 30.5in tall. If you stick with the 17in rim a 285/70 will look good.
