Ok i have an 88 c1500 has a 305 tbi i just bout a crate 350 tbi off craigslist said to have come out of a 93 c1500. Im trying to figure out what i need to swap it out. I know its a direct bolt up swap, but ive been told the only thing i need is a prom chip. But ive been told i need an 88 350 one to go with the 88 computer but also been told i need a 93 350 one to go with the engine. When i look the chips online it mentions the tranny also which i have a th400 3 speed. Im so confused on everything i need to do and need and havent gotten a real answer yet so all the help is needed/welcomed

 

I would go ahead and use a custom chip like one from TBIchips.com. They can program it for you. If you didn't get the 350 throttle body you will need a set of injectors for the 350. Then your set.
