Any recommendations on how to up the fuel eco on a chevy with a 6.0 in it, 2500hd '03 with an auto tranny.

 

I have a friend with the same truck and all he does is complain about the mileage. It must be the nature of the beast.

 

seems to be true with all 3 of my 6.0s, i was hoping some one makes a chip that would help on fuel when i dont have trailer on.

 

My brother in law has two of them. He gets the same mileage with both..bad. I have sold many over the years as well and all of them seem to get around the same mileage. It is a trade off of power for mileage it would seem. The only way I can think of to maybe increase it would be to change the rear end gears to a different ratio maybe? But then you would lose the pulling power. It really comes down to if you want the power or the mileage.
