Default 7.4L hot start (harder to start)

I have a 96 3500 DRW CC with a 7.4L with a new fuel pump. When the engine is cold is starts right up no matter the outside temp. I just got the truck in the summer and only occassionaly drive it (to tow) but have noticed if it is driven for awhile and its sits for awhile it is harder to start. The starter turns over the engine for many revolutions before it starts. I start the truck normally by turning the key 3/4 of the way so the fuel pump can prime the system before engaging the starter. I have heard that this fuel inj system can have some problems so wanted to hear what this could be.

Thanks
Joe

Yeah the injectors need to be replaced. I have one doing the same thing and will be doing the injectors soon. I am going to go ahead and do the upper and lower intake gaskets and fuel pressure regulator while I am there as well. The cheapest I have found are on eBay and they are rebuilt factory units for $120.00 for the set.
