700r4 problem

Default 700r4 problem

i have a 1991 silverado stepside 350 and 700r4 tranny 4x4 after about driving for an hour the floor boards will become extremley hot from the inside right above the tranny is it possiable im in need of a rebuild why would it get so hot in the truck that its like a sauna any help would be great

If your tranny was really gettin that hot I would think it would have taken a crap by now. You sure your exhaust hasn't been knocked up close to the floorpan causing it to heat up or something? If your tranny is really getting that hot maybe you should flush it and see what comes out.
