I have been discussing a problem with my 700R4 transmission. Today I swapped sensors until I finially found the problem. It was the computer that was causeing the convertor to lock and unlock. Does anyone know if the PROM chip or the CALPAK chip in the computer has anything to do with the torque convertor locking and unlocking. I replaced the whole thing and I am unsure on witch of these three pieces may be bad. I also wonder if anyone knows anything about a speed buffer on a 1988 silverado.

 

Dang... How much was each sensor? Thats sounds less than fun to pay for, haha
