92 sierra 2X4, snows coming!
i have purchased an older winter beater but it's only 2 wheel drive. been driving it a bit and noticed it tends to spin easily and it's still summer!
where i live we get some good snow storms and im worried this truck won't be doing well in it.
can anyone suggest a cheap way to lock the rear diff? while still keeping it safe.

You could put a mini-spool in it for the least amount of $$$, but I don't think it'll last long on hard pavement. And it would be hell on tires...
You might be better off spending a lil more to find a posi unit somewhere.... Another option could be a 9in Ford rearend if you can get someone to do the fab work to mount it in your ride. Gears, spools and such for those are probably cheaper than stuff for the GM rears, due to that being a choice rearend for motorsports...
