Interior roof lining coming off - glue??
My interior roof lining is coming off. Any suggestions with what type of glue may be used to reaply (and where to purchase)?
I cleaned the lining on my '96 RAM a couple years ago (w/ rug cleaner attachment) and it seems to have caused the lining to come loose

its the cloth material separating from the foam backing, not so much the glue not holding. the way you fix that is to have the headliner re covered. its not that bad nor expensive. what you do is remove the headliner, strip off the old fabric, use a wire brush or wire wheel on a drill and scrub off all the extra foam leaving you with the fiber board. get some industrial/interior spray adheasive. spray it on both the fiberboard and the NEW headliner material, and then let it set up for about 15-20 minutes, then carefully apply the material to the board working from the middle out. that is my technique anyways. i have also done some sweet headliners that incorporate sculpting into them by placing closed cell foam on the board before the material. "splash" was written in my 93 splash's headliner before, and also have done some civics up nice. good luck!!!

The company WLS Headliners have a repair guide about what to do when the headliner comes down in your truck, you can view it here, http://www.wlsheadliners.com/tutorials/chevytruck/
they also have a lot of other info about headliner problems
