95 Chevy Silverado Broken Door Handle
I'm looking at picking up 95 Silverado Z71 but one quirk is that the driver side door cannot open from the inside. You have to row down the window to open it when you're inside.
The seller said he was quoted 150 dollars to get this fixed. Does anyone know of a handy link / guide to replace this and cheap parts by chance?

my 96
same thing happened to my 96' .
I just went to ORiley auto parts and they had the part i needed. i paid 15$ for it. i got it done with the help of one of my buddies but it broke again a year later and i havnt got to it..
i live in Texas without ac in my ruck so i always have the windows down and its not a problem, only when its raining..
pretty much what im getting at is if you can do it, its just up to finding the part. if you dont, get it done right. its not worth doing it every other year, or if you get to work and it is pourin down rain and it breaks so you HAVE to roll down your window to open the door and get soaked :P
but anyways, good luck!

You can find the handle at Auto Zone or the like with no problems. But in some cases, you do need to get inside the door panel and put a slight bend in that rod to take up the slack. I replaced the handle on mine after it broke, but still had to pull the handle all the way back, and sometimes still couldn't get the door to open. There were no worn out bushings or parts. Once I put a slight curve in the linkage, it worked beautifully and I haven't had a problem in 10 months.
