What's up,
I have been having trouble with my 95 Silverado latley. It seems just dropped in rps and die completely sometimes this will happen several times in a coupple days and other times it won't happen for a whole week.When this happens sometimes it does this in the middle of driving, but most of the time it is the rpms are lower anyway. Like when stopped at a light or pulling into or leaving a parking spot. It also seems to be having trouble when giveing it gas it is a little shakey and doesn't want to just pick up and go properly. I took it to one shop and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it at that time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds fuel pumpish...A near impossible thing to diagnose on a 95 or older...it needs the pressure checked while its acting stupid.
also..distributors are known to do nutty things on those also...

do NOT buy a thrifty pump...A/c Delco all the way!

 

TPS? TB? I'd start with general maintinence items.....tune up time.

 

i had almost the same problem with 95 z71. all you probably need is a new ac delco egr valve. that will stop the sputtering. but let us know when you find the problem

 

Yeah Cracker is right, definitely do a tune up then go from there. Include a new fuel filter first and foremost on that list!
