95 Siverado Stepside
Hi all, I have a 95 Silverado ext. Cab stepside with 350TBI vin K code
I use this as my delivery truck ( Pizza delivery driver), I was on a delivery when I noticed geryish, blue smoke from my engine compartment, ( with 211,000 on the Odometer ), so I took the truck home, once home I looked and the entire back half of the engine and the front half of the tranny bell housing are just covered in oil, assuming it's a blown rear main seal, so I have desided to go ahead and just rebuild the engine, ( and it's been quite a few years since I have undertaken an engine rebuild, so I got a manual for the truck). The rebuild has me worried as I have never dealt with fuel injection of any sorts, have always sent the newer type vehicles to the mechanic, however due to finaccial situation at present spending $2000.00 on an engine rebuild is out of the question so am turning the wrenches my self. Need any advice I can get on this
Thanks

have started tearing down the engine compartment have an issue with removing the Evaporator coils and the transmission cooler on the front clip ( trying to remove front clip so that I can simply take an engine hoist and slide the new engine that I ordered in) ( I am partialy disabled so doing the engine swap is a big undertaking for me). Any advice on removing the front clip will be hugely appreciated, the issue I am haviing is the fact that my AC works and I want to keep it working, ( I can't afford to discharge the AC unit to recharge it again, Money's tight at this time) so I asked an collegue of mine for advice and he said to disconnect the AC unit from the engine and carefully lay it to the side in the engine compartment till the new engine arives. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

correct...remove the compressor, but leave the hoses on..
take everything off the front...even the balancer if ya have a puller...and it will have plenty of clearance with the radiator out of it
