96, 350 fuel pump question...
alright so I got a broken down 350 from some 90's chevy truck (not sure), but it is carburated, and I want to rebuild and swap this into a 86 Chevy truck, but the only main differences I notice with these engines are that the old one has a driven Fuel pump on the front right side of the block, and on the new 350 this is bolted off, when I switch engines can I just take of the plate from the new 350 and put on the pump from the old 350?
thanks alot!

Well I can not answer your question but I can tell you that if you motor is out of a 90's truck then it is not carburated. This is a common misconception because it has the look of one. What it is, is Throttle Body Injection. I dont know if this helps you at all but it should some because theyaredifferent engines so I would assume that your idea would not work. Could be wrong tho.
those TBI engines..or K motors...have a fuel pump hole with a plate over it as you have,or either its casted over.you can use it,just switch your rod and old plate over...if you use the heads, you'll either have to buy a custom fit intake,or get creative drilling your intake bolt holes out more,as they go in at different angles.
keep the flywheel starter paired together.
do-able,but ain't fun
